Our wheel throwing course is perfect for those wanting to explore working on the pottery wheel. Over 8 weeks, you’ll be guided through the foundational techniques that bring clay to life — from centering and shaping to refining and decorating your pieces. With each session, you’ll gain confidence in and work towards creating forms like bowls, cups, and vases. You’ll also learn how to trim your pieces for a clean, professional finish and add personal flair using underglaze decoration. No previous experience is needed — just a willingness to get your hands dirty and have fun.

Hand Building Course
Discover the Magic of Clay in our 8-Week Hand Building Course
Our handbuilding course is perfect for those wanting to explore their creative side. Over 8 weeks, you’ll be guided through all the foundational methods — from pinching and coiling to slab building and joining — giving you the freedom to shape clay with your hands into both functional and decorative forms. Each session will build your confidence as you create unique pieces. You’ll also explore surface decoration using underglaze, allowing you to add texture, pattern, and personality to your creations. No previous experience is needed — just curiosity, creativity, and a love for hands-on making.

Do I need any experience to join?
Not at all! These courses are designed for absolute beginners. We’ll guide you through every step and create a welcoming, encouraging environment.
What are the payment terms for the course?
Full payment is required upfront to secure your place, as spots are limited and fill up quickly. Please note that missed classes cannot be made up, as each session follows a syllabus.
Will I get to keep what I make?
Yes, your best pieces will be fired and finished for you to take home. In the early weeks, while you’re still learning and practicing techniques, not all pieces will be kept for firing.
Can I take both courses at the same time?
Unfortunately, no — the wheel throwing and handbuilding classes run simultaneously, so you’ll need to choose one per term. You’re welcome to return for the next round!
