Therapeutic Pottery Workshop: Body Acceptance Through Clay
Our Therapeutic Pottery Workshop offers a gentle, reflective space where you can reconnect with your body, creativity, and self-expression. In this deeply meaningful session, you’ll be guided to hand-build a clay sculpture inspired by your own body, just as it is.
This workshop is not about perfection. It’s about acceptance. Through the tactile, grounding process of where you will work with clay, you’ll explore your relationship with your body. This will allow you to release judgment, and engage in mindful self-reflection. It is an experience that is both creative and healing.
The workshop will be run by Registered Counsellor and avid potter Kaela Sussman, together with experienced ceramicist Roleen Selby, will guide you through the emotional and artistic process whereby creating a piece will symbolize your strength, story, and presence. Moreover, the experience unfolds slowly and intentionally, inviting you to pause, tune in, and create from the heart.
Each person will walk away with:
- A hand-built clay sculpture of their own body
- A deeper connection to their physical and emotional self
- The therapeutic benefit of creative self-expression
- A safe space to reflect, release, and reconnect

No prior clay experience is needed, just bring your willingness to explore and create.

Terms & Conditions
Once you place your booking or order online, our system automatically sends you a confirmation email. This email contains your booking details, confirms your spot, and secures your place in the workshop. You don’t need to bring the confirmation on the day because we already record your booking in our system.
- Workshops booked cannot be refunded or redeemed for a later date.
- Please double-check your selected booking date and time at checkout.
- In the unfortunate event that you cannot make your scheduled date, you are welcome to gift your ticket to someone else.
From the time of the workshop, your piece will be ready to collect 2 to 3 weeks after (you will be notified via WhatsApp). You will need to collect your piece within 6 weeks of the workshop date, or it will be discarded.
Clay Magic Pottery Studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops at any point. Should this occur, you will be notified directly and offered the choice of a full refund or the option to be booked into the next available workshop.
