8-Week Beginner’s Throwing Pottery Course ✨

You’ll start by learning how to centre clay, then move on to pulling walls and shaping forms. Soon, you’ll create your own bowls, cups, vases, and more. With expert instruction from experienced pottery teacher Roleen Selby, you’ll explore every stage of the process—including trimming, surface design, and glazing.

As you develop your skills, you’ll also experience the calming, meditative rhythm of the wheel. Throwing clay invites mindfulness, reduces stress, and helps you reconnect with yourself in a creative and grounding way.

By the final session, you’ll walk away with a collection of fully glazed and fired ceramics—ready to use or gift. We include all materials, tools, and firings, and offer tea and light refreshments to keep your energy up while you work.

You don’t need any experience for our Beginner’s Throwing Pottery Course. You just need to bring your curiosity and a willingness to get your hands muddy.

Spaces are limited to keep the group small and supportive, so book your spot now. Join us for eight weeks of creativity, connection, and the joy of working with clay.

Cancellation Policy:

This is a structured 8-week course, and each session builds on the previous one. If any classes are missed, they will be forfeited and cannot be rescheduled or refunded. This ensures consistency and flow for all participants and allows us to plan materials and instruction effectively.
